§ 01 The shop that comes to you

Diagnose it right. Fix it once. Get the truck earning again.

OM Truck Repair LLC is a heavy-duty repair outfit built for the way trucking actually works around O’Hare and the Tri-State — trucks that can’t sit, drivers on a clock, and fleets that need answers instead of guesses.

We bring dealer-level diagnostics, air, welding and the right parts to your yard, your customer’s dock or the shoulder. Every job starts with a clear finding and a written estimate, and ends with a verified repair.

§ 02 The OM method

Three steps.
No guesswork.

Most comebacks happen because someone replaced a part instead of finding a cause. Our process is built so that doesn’t happen to your truck.

Diagnose

We listen to the driver, scan every module and run real tests — pressure, voltage, leak-down — until the failure is proven. You get findings in plain language.

Repair

Approved work only, quality parts, correct torque and clean wiring. If a job needs more than a roadside fix, we say so up front and plan the downtime with you.

Verify

Codes cleared, systems retested and the truck road-tested or load-tested before we call it done. Your paperwork shows exactly what was done and why.

Thirteen ways

Engines to air brakes to aftertreatment — tractors, straight trucks and trailers. Every service has its own page with what’s included and how the job runs.

§ 04 From the cab

Drivers talk.
Here’s what they say.

Owner-operators, company drivers and fleet managers across the north suburbs.

Lost air pressure at a customer’s dock in Elk Grove around 10 at night. They were there in under an hour, found a cracked line behind the cab and had me rolling before the dock closed.

We moved all six of our tractors to their PM schedule last spring. Service at our yard, a checklist for every unit and no surprise invoices. Breakdowns are down a lot.
Jennifer K.Fleet managerArlington Heights, IL
Another shop replaced two sensors and the derate kept coming back. OM found a chafed harness near the turbo in one visit and showed me the photos. Haven’t seen the light since.
Ruslan T.Owner-operatorWheeling, IL
Annual inspections on our trailers used to take two days of shuffling. They did eight trailers at the drop yard in one morning and fixed the lights and brake adjustments on the spot.
Carlos M.Operations leadDes Plaines, IL
Straight answers on the phone, a real arrival time and a fair price at the end. That’s rare at 2 a.m. on the Tri-State.
Dave P.Company driverNorthbrook, IL
They explained exactly why my clutch kept wearing out early — a bad release linkage — instead of just selling me another clutch.

All FAQs

What kinds of trucks do you work on?

Class 6–8 diesel trucks: highway tractors, straight trucks, box trucks and vocational units, plus dry van, reefer and flatbed trailers. Call with your make and model if you are unsure.

Do you offer mobile service?

Yes. Most of our work is done on-site — at your yard, a customer’s dock, a truck stop or the roadside — using a fully equipped service truck.

Are you available 24/7?

Roadside and breakdown calls are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Scheduled service runs Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

How do estimates work?

We diagnose first, then give you a written estimate. No work beyond the approved amount is done without your OK.

Do you work with fleets?

Yes. We offer scheduled yard service, PM programs, inspections and priority breakdown response for local fleets of every size.

Truck down?
We’re on it.

Tell us where the truck is and what it’s doing. We’ll give you a straight answer, an honest arrival time and a written estimate before any work starts.
