Call us if you’re seeing this
- 01Slow crank, no-crank or batteries that keep dying
- 02Dim, flickering or dead lights on tractor or trailer
- 03Gauges or dash warnings that come and go
- 04Corroded connectors or melted terminals
- 05Accessories draining batteries overnight
- 06ABS or lighting faults through the trailer cord
§ 02 Our approach
How we handle electrical systems
Electrical problems are rarely solved by replacing the most expensive part. We start with battery condition and charging output, then voltage-drop test the cables and grounds that carry starting current. Parasitic draws are tracked circuit by circuit.
For wiring faults we follow the harness, check connectors for corrosion and pin fit, and repair with sealed, heat-shrink connections that stand up to Chicago winters. Trailer electrical — the 7-way, the main harness and lighting — gets the same treatment, because most trailer light failures start at a corroded connection.
§ 03 How the job runs
Four steps, start to finish
Test the basics
Battery state, charging output and cable voltage drop.
Trace
Wiring diagrams, live measurements and connector inspection.
Repair
Sealed connections and correct-gauge wire, routed and secured.
Verify
Circuit retested under load and codes cleared.

§ 05 FAQ
Electrical Systems questions
Why do my batteries keep dying?
Common causes include a weak alternator, a parasitic draw from an accessory or module, corroded cables or simply aged batteries. We test each so you only replace what is actually bad.
Can you repair trailer lights on-site?
Yes. Trailer lighting and 7-way repairs are routine on-site jobs.
Do you repair wiring harnesses or replace them?
Most damage can be repaired properly with sealed splices. If a harness section is badly corroded or melted, we will recommend replacing that section.
