Service 10 · Cooling System

Cooling system repair before overheating turns expensive

An engine that runs hot doesn’t stay healthy for long. We pressure-test, find the leak or restriction, and fix it before it becomes a head gasket.

§ 01 Signs it’s time

Call us if you’re seeing this

  • 01Temperature gauge climbing on grades or in traffic
  • 02Coolant smell, puddles or crusted residue
  • 03Low coolant warnings that keep returning
  • 04Fan running constantly or not engaging
  • 05Weak heat in the cab during winter
  • 06Loss of power with charge air cooler leaks

§ 02 Our approach

How we handle cooling system

We pressure-test the system and cap, check coolant condition and concentration, and verify thermostat, fan and water pump operation with real temperature readings. Charge air coolers get a separate boost leak test because a leaking CAC can look like a fuel problem.

Repairs include radiator and charge air cooler replacement, water pumps, thermostats, hoses and clamps, fan clutches and fan hubs, heater core issues and coolant service to the engine maker’s specification.

§ 03 How the job runs

Four steps, start to finish

  1. Pressure test

System and cap tested to find external and internal leaks.

  2. Check operation

Thermostat, fan and pump verified with temperature data.

  3. Repair

Leaking or failing parts replaced, system bled properly.

  4. Retest

Pressure test repeated and operating temperature confirmed.

§ 04 Scope

§ 05 FAQ

Cooling System questions

My truck is overheating — should I keep driving?

No. Pull over safely and shut down if the gauge is near the red. Continuing to drive can damage the head gasket or engine. Call us and we will come to you.

How often should coolant be changed?

It depends on the coolant type and engine maker’s interval. We check condition and additive levels at every PM so you change it when it is actually needed.

Can you fix a charge air cooler leak?

Yes. We test for boost leaks and replace leaking charge air coolers, hoses and clamps.

Truck down?
We’re on it.

Tell us where the truck is and what it’s doing. We’ll give you a straight answer, an honest arrival time and a written estimate before any work starts.
